I’ve lived it.
I’ve become the proof.

Why your skin care isn’t working, what the forest taught me about it, and why there are no before-and-afters here.

01 · I’m one of them

I’ve been caught in this mess too.

Buying on hope. Trying the next thing. Wondering why nothing worked.

After 19 years licensed and more than 20,000 hours with clients’ skin, I kept running into the same wall.

I could guarantee the facial. I couldn’t guarantee the product.

So I used my insider access to figure out why.

02 · Then nature got hold of me

I outgrew my life.

In 2017, I turned toward nature. Eventually I felt I had outgrown a life full of decisions I’d made as a much younger, very different version of myself. So I sold my house in Ohio and started chasing wild places.

Every move has refined Proof Positive Skin Care. This journey has been the greatest joy of my life.

03 · What the forest taught me

No tree compares itself to another.

Trees don’t check whether they’re worthy, whether they’ve met the standard or whether they’re good enough today. They live in an ecosystem, in relationship with each other and with themselves.

birchfirfungal network · trading what the other lacks

Research suggests a birch and a fir can trade nutrients through the fungal network underground, each giving what the other lacks as the seasons change. Neither is broken because it can’t make everything it needs on its own. Its design is fine. It simply gets what it needs from its partner.

That’s the relationship between you and your skin. You have goals for your skin. Your skin has goals of its own: a hardwired set of jobs, in an order of priority that isn’t yours.

The skin needs us, and we need the skin.

Where we’ve gone wrong is trying to assert ourselves onto it. A product says it can do something, so we try to override what the skin is busy doing. When it doesn’t work, we feel misled by the claim. It failed because we asked an organ with its own priorities to drop them for ours.

So I create harmony between your goals and your skin’s. There’s no shortcut around it. It’s first principles. Short of surgery, which overrides the skin, landing in that truth is the only way out of the trial-and-error cycle.

04 · Why you won’t find before-and-afters here

They hand you a lens for comparing.

Comparison is the one thing the forest never does, and it’s exactly what before-and-afters sell.

BeforeSomeone else’s skin.
AfterSomeone else’s story.

You’ll hold it up to your own skin and decide where you fall short. But skin is subjective, and your skin has its own story. No photo of someone else can tell it.

I don’t sell an outcome, the way so much of the beauty industry does. I don’t sell an ideology, an aesthetic or a beauty standard either. Each of those quietly tells you that wherever you are right now, if you’re not there, you’re wrong. Behind. Worth less. In danger of becoming irrelevant.

I refuse to reinforce that falsity.

That doesn’t mean judgment. If you want to meet a beauty standard, follow an ideology or make a particular change in your skin, I’ll help you get there. That’s your value to choose. Mine is first-principles truth, the neutral ground every beauty preference stands on: how the skin behaves, and what it needs to reach the goal you chose.

05 · Two words, on purpose

Proof Positive Skin Care.

I love writing, and I’m crazy about grammar.

SkincareOne word. A type of product.
Skin careTwo words. Care of the organ.

That difference matters, because it’s how we get our results.

When we give the skin what it needs, it gives us what we want.

06 · Truth, not ideology

The original influencer is the skin.

Don’t get it twisted: I’m not pro-natural, and I’m not anti-natural. I’m not ideological. Nature taught me to look at this whole industry like an analyst. I see the brands, the governing bodies and the limits they put on manufacturers. I see where trust between brands and consumers erodes, and what causes it.

I’m not anti beauty standards. I’m pro truth. Your skin decides whether you can meet any standard at all.

This isn’t a fly-by-night venture. It’s my life’s work. I’ve lived it, and I’ve become the proof in every way I know how, so I can be honest, act with integrity and offer you what I’ve come to know as the cleanest lens of truth about both the industry and your skin.
